4 Welcome to Rotterdam Maritime Capital of Europe For the second time in a row, Rotterdam has been awarded as the European frontrunner in the 2024 edition of the ‘Leading Maritime Cities of the World’ report launched by DNV and Menon Economics. The port city is on the forefront of innovation due to its efforts to leverage new technologies. With its strategic North Sea location, Rotterdam remains the pre-eminent maritime and offshore hotspot.
